We believe that driving the pilings results in a longer lasting and far sturdier dock or pier than using water to displace material for a piling to be placed in. We have found that with water turbulence from storms and normal rough seas our pilings maintain their integrity far longer. We use cross-bracing every 8' made from 2" X 10" timbers and these are secured with bolts through the pilings.
